In July of 2019, Things Engraved in Woodgrove Centre closed their doors after 20 years. Kevin, saw the need for engraving in Nanaimo and realized how engraving would compliment his existing services. In August, Island Ink Jet was fortunate to be able to take over the engraving services previously provided by Things Engraved, and, voila, Island Ink Jet & Engraving was born.

This new service allows us to engrave metals, wood, plastic, and glass. We can engrave business logos on nearly any item. We also have a wonderful selection of gifts for any occasion - from Zippos, flasks, pet tags, baby items, and wedding décor. You can also bring in your own items and ideas and we will make them into cherished mementos.

How Much Is Engraving?

The price varies depending on the item! Items that were not bought in store have a flat rate service fee per item, this varies starting at $7.99 for most items and $14.99 for jewelery or more expensive items. Then it is 89 cents, per character, for engraving itself.

What Can You Engrave?

Quite a lot! It's hard to specify as we can do lots of metals, glass, some plastics and even some types of wood! If it can be held in the machine, we can engrave it!

How Long Does It Take?

Same day! Items very in time depending on material, minimum being 45 minutes, usually maximum being 2 hours! As long as the engraver is on shift, it will be ready that day!
